85-Year-Old Doctor Battles Government over Illegal Asparagus Operation

FORT CALHOUN, NE (May 19) -- A Nebraska man has gotten cross-ways with the Federal Government for an illegal asparagus operation (an acre of asparagus planted on a wildlife refuge). The 7-year battle is one part protest against the Federal Government's lax cleanup of the refuge following flooding, and another part quest to find a better way to grow asparagus in the Midwest.
